Hi,

I just wanted to say that Tools4Trainers DVD’s have added a new dimension to my delivery of key topics – the flexibility and ease of use is great and the role plays are realisitic, believable and not too stage managed – just what I need.

If you like thinking on your feet and adapting to what your delegates need, these will prove invaluable

Thanks!

Hi,
Used the Appraisal Skills DVD the other day on a course for middle managers, they picked up the importance of body language really quickly having watched ‘The Quiet Appraisee’ – one experienced manager said he hadn’t realised how it looked when he leaned into people and how threatening it might seem to a junior staff member. He said he could see the body space that the manger gave had the effect of reducing the nervousness of the appraisee.
I’ll be using that one again when I need to make that point!

Hi
It was interesting to use the ‘Assertive Communication’ DVD with a group of legal secretaries. Watching ‘Kathy’s Poor Delegation’ they recognised the role the staff member had in the outcome of poor delegation, moving away from what can sometimes be the perception that its the manager’s fault if there is mis-communication. The DVD supported in a powerful, visual manner the contribution both parties make to effective communication. They pinpointed action points and recognised development needs in themselves. One PA to a partner, for example, formulated a strategy to be more assertive with their non-assertive manager. She recognised a need to take ownership.

Feedback from delegates on a training course included:

“I don’t like role play, so I really enjoyed seeing the different behaviours – it was much easier for me to learn.”

“Seeing the non assertive examples made me realise this is how I come across to others – from now on I’m going to sound and look assertive – thanks!”
